General Description

Your hosts Patrice and Louis welcome you to their lovely home located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Old Town district. We are only two blocks from Queen (main) Street, within easy walking distance to the Shaw Festival Theatres, restaurants and shops.

You have a private guest entrance.
All of our rooms are on the main floor and include luxury pillow top beds, providing an excellent night's sleep. Our home is smoke free. We offer central air conditioning for those hot summer days. Stroll our gardens or enjoy the view from the screened porch, or sit back in the guest lounge (with satellite TV) which is also located on the main floor. We offer complimentary bottled water and a fridge for your convenience.

Le Papillon Bed & Breakfast is licensed by the Town of Niagara-On-The-Lake and is a member of the Niagara-On-The-Lake Bed and Breakfast Association and the Niagara-On-The-Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Breakfast

Full. Weather permitting, enjoy a gourmet breakfast from our screened porch, overlooking our extensive perennial gardens (a birdwatcher’s delight) and watch horse drawn carriages pass by. We strive to provide a healthy menu and will gladly accommodate dietary requests. Our breakfast changes daily and is accompanied by fresh fruit, fresh bread/croissants/muffins, selected (drug-free) Mennonite meats, free-range farm fresh eggs, and a full hot entree.

Directions

From Toronto or Detroit… take the QEW towards Niagara, past St Catharines to the exit for Niagara-on-the-Lake. Follow Highway 55 into Niagara-on-the-Lake. Pass through the village of Virgil, then through an intersection with a McDonalds on the right and continue straight into the ‘Old Town' of Niagara-on-the-Lake. In the ‘Old Town’ Highway 55 becomes Mississauga Street. Pass straight through the intersection with a street light. (Mary Street). Continue on Mississauga Street for 3 more blocks past a cemetery on the right. At the end of the cemetery is Gage Street. Turn right and in 2 blocks you will find Le Papillon at the corner of Gate Street.

From Buffalo... cross the Peace Bridge into Canada, follow the QEW past Niagara Falls. Take the exit for Niagara-on-the-Lake. Then follow the above instructions.

From Niagara Falls, NY… take Interstate 190 through Niagara Falls, NY and follow the signage to the Canadian border at the Lewiston Bridge. After clearing Canadian Customs and the toll booths, you will proceed to the Stanley Street exit then follow the signage to Niagara-on-the-Lake . This will take you to the Niagara Parkway. The Parkway leads directly onto Queen (main) Street. Follow Queen Street through town, pass the Tower Clock and the Post Office. Turn left onto Gate Street for 2 blocks, then turn left onto Gage Street where you will find Le Papillon at the corner.
