General Description

You have found a piece of North American history here in Niagara on the Lake. At Churchill’s Drive we share the old and more recent worlds with our guests. It is interesting to mention that we have named the property after the comments Winston Churchill made when visiting the town in the summer of 1943 - on the Niagara Parkway route up to the Falls, he remarked that he thought this was the prettiest Sunday afternoon drive in the world .

We offer accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis and there are three delightful rooms to choose from - we look forward to welcoming you for your stay in the old town. Quietly located by the lakeshore golf course you will find luxury and heritage combined with a real sense of european ambience. We provide the best quality beds/linens, fine furnishings, soft decor and elegant fittings.

As well as a comfortable bed, a great breakfast is really part of your visit and you can choose from a varied menu prepared by the lady of the house. In the evening come and enjoy a chat (English or French) over a glass of Ontario wine before trying one of our recommendations for dinner - there's lots of space and comfort during any season and your hosts, Noel and Marina, will always ensure high standards and warm hospitality.

Breakfast

The lady of the house has many years of professional catering and she offers a choice of either traditional English Breakfast or interesting French Breakfast - this means a selection of cereals, fresh fruits, fruit juices, teas and coffee, yoghurts and different breads with home made jams, followed by or with, cooked delights such as bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms,,filled crepes and/or assorted offerings to your particular request.

We love to spoil you at the start of your day here at Churchill's Drive so we usually take part as well.

Visit our world-famous Shaw Festival Theater, wineries, Niagara Falls, Walking trails, North America's oldest Golf Course (2 blocks from us)Fort George, and many other interesting places. Directions

Traveling east from Toronto, or west from Buffalo, take the Q.E.W. Niagara to the Hwy 55 exit. Follow the signs to Niagara-on-the-Lake (about 15 Km), and keep going on Missisauga St upto the T junction of Queen Street. Take left along the golf course and third left is Dorchester St - Churchill's Drive is on your left, at 288 Dorchester ( about one and a half blocks)

Coming from the Lewiston NY Bridge, turn onto the Niagara Parkway, which leads directly to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The Niagara Parkway becomes Queen Street in town, proceed until you have passed Mississauga Road (Hwy 55), and look for Dorchester St. on your left side, just opposite the golf course. Turn left at Dorchester, and you will find us on your left at 288 Dorchester St.
